Meat and milk
Cattle are important domestic animals. From beef cattle we get steaks,
roast beef, and hamburgers. From dairy cattle we get milk for drinking
and for making into cream, butter, cheese, and ice cream.
Most of the leather used for shoes comes from the skin of cattle.
Cattle are raised for milk or meat nearly everywhere in the world.
Milk cows, such as these, are called dairy cattle. Many farms in many
parts of the world have small herds of dairy cattle.
