The Wise Old Owl
A wise old owl lived in an oak;
The more he saw the less he spoke;
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can’t we all be like that wise old bird?
Once I Saw a Little Bird
Once I saw a little bird Come hop, hop, hop, I cried, “Little bird,
Will you stop, stop, stop?”
I was going to the window To say, “How do you do?” But he shook his
little tail And away he flew.
Little Robin Redbreast
Little Robin Redbreast sat upon a tree, Up went Pussycat, and down went
he; Down came Pussy, and away Robin ran;
Says little Robin Redbreast, “Catch me if you can.”
Little Robin Redbreast jumped upon a wall, Pussycat jumped after him,
and almost got a fall;
Little Robin chirped and sang, and what did Pussy say?
Pussycat said, “Mew,” and Robin jumped away.
