My senses guide me

I see

My senses guide me

The circle of my world grows wider every day. But I always remain at the
center of my world. Each time I move, my circle moves. I can move
across, down into, or above the ground. Astronauts move away from the
earth. Someday even I may fly into outer space.

As long as I live, move, and use my five senses, my world will keep
growing.

My five senses guard my body. They warn me of danger. They help me learn
about the things in my world.

My mind stores the things that my senses help me learn. I remember when
something is dangerous. And I remember things that made me happy or sad.

I know that a lemon is sour and that sugar is sweet because I have
tasted them. Once I picked a rose. A sharp point on its stem stuck into
my finger. It hurt. I was careful the next time I picked a rose.

I have five senses and a mind. They protect me and help me know my
world. If I learn to use them well, my world will grow ever wider.

I taste

I hear

I smell
