My family
Maybe I live with my natural parents, the mother and father to whom I
was born. We love each other. We are a family.
But maybe I do not live with my natural parents.
Maybe I was adopted. My mother and father chose me to be part of their
family. I love them and they love me. And we are a family.
Maybe I live with my mother and my stepfather. Or maybe I live with my
father and my stepmother. They take care of me. We love each other. And
we are a family.
Maybe I live alone with my mother. We love each other. We are a family.
Or maybe I live alone with my father. We love each other. We are a
family, too.
There are many kinds of families. Each person thinks his kind is the
very best.
Here’s what we do for each other in our family. Most families do the
same.
We stick up for each other.
We are glad and sad with each other.
We work and play together.
We share things.
Most of all, we love each other.
We are a family!
Jerry and Marty are adopted. David and Phil are not. They all live
together and love each other. They are a family.
Nancy lives with her father. The two of them are a family. They love
and need each other. They like being together.George lives with his mother. They love and need each other. They are
a family. They like to work and play together.
