Whimsical wrap-ups
When you’ve taken the time to make a special gift for a special
person, you’ll want to wrap the gift in an extra-special way. It’s just
as much fun to wrap the gift as it is to make it. You can key the
gift-wrapping to the person’s interest, or you can let the wrapping give
a hint about the gift.
You can make unusual gift-wrappings with the odds-and-ends left over
from your craft projects. Wrap presents in
plain tissue paper, fancy wrapping paper, the classified ads, or the
funny pages. Try magazine pictures, construction paper, wallpaper, and
grocery bags. Decorate the wrapping paper with paper clips, felt,
string, lace, yarn, paint, potato prints, or dried leaves and flowers.
If you wrap the box and lid separately, the box can be used to hold
trinkets or reused at another time for a gift.
