Let’s Play with Clay

It’s wonderful to play with clay! It feels good to touch, and it’s fun
to push and squeeze into different shapes.

You can make anything and everything out of clay. You can make pots and
people and puppies and parades. Would you like to model a circus, a zoo,
or a supermarket? How about modeling a funny bone, a Martian city, or a
secret place? You can model shapes that look like something real, or you
can model shapes that don’t look like anything you ever saw.

You can model clay by yourself. Or you can ask your friends to help you
work on a big project. There is no right or wrong way to play with clay.
Whatever you do and whatever you make is right for you.

The projects in this section will show you just some of the things you
can make from clay. You can make many more. Just take some clay, add a
little bit of imagination, then roll, pat, pinch, and flatten as your
fingers tell you to.
