MEETING HOUSE OE THE WORLD
Today, if two countries of the world have an argument or a fight, an
organization called the United Nations is the go-between. The United
Nations is a group of people from many nations who work to keep peace in
the world.
The United Nations meets at the United Nations Headquarters in New York
City. Near the headquarters is a building called The Church Center for
the United Nations. People from many church organizations meet at the
center to learn about the work of the United Nations.
The picture on this page shows the chapel on the first floor of the
center, where people can pray for world peace.
