People are killing many animals
Almost everywhere in the world more and more wild animals are being
killed by people. Many animals are killed for their skins or feathers or
horns or tusks. Many animals die when the land where they find their
food is covered by factories or airports or highways. Some animals are
killed by accident. But unless the killing stops, many kinds of animals
will soon be gone from the earth.

by killing too many animals. The hunters wanted to sell the tusks and

Many walruses are killed for their tusks. Eskimos carve the tusks into
toys to sell. But too many walruses have been killed, so now there are
laws to protect them.

The green sea turtles may soon all be gone. They are killed for soup,
