States.Chickens are raised on farms for their eggs and meat.
Do you like scrambled eggs, fried chicken, roast duck? These foods come
from birds that are raised on farms. Birds that are raised for food are
called poultry. Chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys are the most
important kind of poultry.
Many farms raise some poultry. But some farms raise nothing but poultry.
And, of course, these are called poultry farms.
