It’s a Fish

Sometimes it’s hard to tell what’s a fish and what isn’t. A sea horse doesn’t look like a fish, but it is. And a dolphin looks like a fish, but it isn’t!How can you tell if an animal is a fish? Well, nearly all fish have scales. Scales are little round or diamond-shaped pieces of thin bony stuff. They fit together over the fish’s whole body. And nearly all fish have fins. A fish usually has a fin on its back, a fin on its belly, a broad fin for a tail, and two fins on each side. And all fish have gills. Gills are slits in a fish’s head, behind its mouth.
