Mostly I’m happy

Mostly I’m happy

There’s something I’m rarely without.

My supply of it doesn’t run out.

I use it, yet there’s more, and to spare.

It’s something I like to share.

It’s with me wherever I go.

What is it? Do you know?

My laugh!

I’m laughing. Why?

I’m just happy I am I!

Mother’s here, home from the store.

She can come in—if I open the door!

Shall I?

1 smile, though I feel quite shy.

I’ll get to talking, by and by.

Daddy came to school. He came to see: my room, my desk, my pictures—
and me!

I’m happy, though I don’t show it.

I feel nice inside, and I know it.

My laugh is tucked away just now.

But soon I’ll smile. For Daddy knows how to make dragons roar, goblins
rumble, and bears sort of mumble mumble mumble.
